What is the KeyRose?
The KeyRose set is a 21st century Divination/Meditation Tool, designed and created by PanOrpheus. It includes a custom black lacquer box with brass fittings, red felt inserts, and a silver medallion on the top. There are thirty pieces to the set, each one printed on a piece of yellow/gold cardstock. There is also an image book that contains all thirty of the images used, and poetry that reveals PanOrpheus' personal poetic interpretation of the images on a given day. There is also a section of the book that tells you exactly how to use the KeyRose as a tool for Divination/Meditation as well as for Group Workings. It is similar to the Runes, or Tarot. There is also a less expensive “Deluxe” version of the KeyRose.
Why the KeyRose?
How is the KeyRose different from any other divination tool?
* The system is totally intuitive.
* The images are based on ancient mandalas. They speak to the collective unconscious.
*There is a unique mythology that is associated with the tool.
* The KeyRose can be used immediately-no long learning curve.
I hope that you will enjoy your journey into the world of the KeyRose
There are 23 poems that I have written for this book, that were inspired by my drawings of the images. My inspiration should in no way influence your interpretations. YOU are the KEY. You must interpret the meaning of the images for yourself
.
Here is one of the methods that I discuss in my workshops for using the KeyRose images:
First use a black cloth, or black foam board on a hard canvas board, or something similar, so that you can handle the pieces on dark background on your lap. Next, have some quiet meditative music playing in the background. I prefer to play the recent movie music of Philip Glass (“The Illusionist”, for example) while doing my meditations. Symphonic and chamber music by Philip Glass also works for me. We all have our own special musical tastes when it comes to meditative work.
Next place all of the pieces with the images to the right side of the cloth or foam board. Leave the blank pieces in the box for later use. The image pieces will have to overlap. While you are doing this, you might want to look at each piece for a few seconds. When all of the pieces have been arranged on the right side you are ready to begin.
Is there one particular piece that calls to you? A piece that is singing to you? If so, place it in the center of the board. If you don’t feel this…let your hand do the picking. Your hand often feels drawn to a particular piece. Try this process again. Is there another piece that calls to you? Perhaps A piece that is wants to sing or dance with the first piece. If so, place it next to the first piece in the center of the board. You may want to try this process again, for a third, fourth or fifth piece, perhaps more. As you do this see if a story is unfolding in the center of the board.
Next pick the piece that you would NEVER choose, a piece that does not fit the situation that is unfolding. How does this piece change the story? You may choose to ignore it, or somehow consider the concept of this piece in the unfolding story.
Is there something that is missing? If so, take a blank piece and draw an image on it that represents what you feel is missing. You are always free to add your own pieces to the KeyRose. In this way it becomes your own personal tool.
Now, look at all of the pieces that you have not chosen. They are on the side of the board. Carefully turn them over. They must overlap so that you will not disturb the pieces in the center that you have chosen already. You should pause at this point. In the workshops, I pass around the Pentacle and Rose basket, and each person places their hand on it. You may do the same with a personal object, or tool that you feel is somehow charged with magical power. We all have something like that, perhaps a ritual tool, or a lucky charm. You must believe that the power of the object is now in your hand. Then place your hand over the pieces, and allow the universe, or the macrocosm to pick a “random” piece for you. Is there a piece that is warm to touch? Does one of the pieces have a “magnetic” pull of some kind? When you find the piece (and you will!) turn it over and place it below the pieces that are already in the center.
Now, you can meditate on the meaning of the pieces in the center. How does the “random”, or “chance” piece that you turned over affect the scenario? Is there a synchronicity here? Does the piece on the right that you would NEVER choose affect the story?
Is there some kind of a synchronicity going on between the pieces? Perhaps some thing that you may not have considered? If you have added a “missing” piece on a blank piece of paper, how does it affect the reading?
Now, consider the reading. What is the KeyRose saying to you? Have there been any surprises during the reading and the process? What I have shown you here is a slow meditative use of the KeyRose images. Imagine if the set could be used for Prophecy, for reading “The Future”.
My character, the Delphic Oracle, Theoclea uses it for this purpose. To learn how that is done, you'll have to refer to the book. The book also describes group workings in which the images can be used to solve the problems of one member, 'The Solitaire', who presents a specific personal problem to the rest of the group.
There are certainly other ways to use the KeyRose set, and I encourage you to find your own special ways to use it. It will then become an even more personal tool. I hope that insights and inspiration are there in abundance for you. The set has certainly worked for me and, judging from the response to my workshops and the five books that I’ve written so far-IT WILL WORK FOR YOU! TRUST ME- IT WORKS!
